About Taiwan Noodle

Taiwan Noodle is one of the chinese restaurants listed in Albany, New York. The business is registered at 218 Central Ave, Albany, NY 12206; use this page to check its hours, phone number and Google rating before you make the trip. In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Albany; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in New York are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.

Hours are published for 2 days a week. Typical hours are 11:30 AM–9:15 PM. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (518) 436-1328. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, taiwannoodle.net.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.5 out of 5 from 661 reviews, which is a strong result for a chinese restaurant in Albany and suggests consistent service.

Albany is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Albany follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

The food was delicious! It’s a casual sit-down eatery with a relaxed atmosphere. They don’t serve alcohol, which is worth knowing ahead of time. We had the spicy dumplings and the spicy Mala beef noodle soup. The soup came with lightly cubed and fried tofu, tofu sheets, crunchy mushrooms, bean sprouts, lean and tender pieces of beef, and fresh ramen noodles in a very spicy, flavorful broth. The portion was generousβ€”one bowl was big enough for two adults to share. The noodles tasted especially fresh and had just the right amount of chew. The spicy dumplings were delicious as well. I even took some of the ramen noodles from the soup and dipped them into the spicy chili oil from the dumplings, which was very tasty. For dessert, we tried the Portuguese custard tarts. They were OK, but I’d still recommend trying them. They’re not super sweet and lean a little more savoryβ€”think toasted, buttery croissant. For two people, the bill came to about $48, including a can of Sprite, a can of seltzer, and tax. I tipped $20 on top of that. Service was pretty good overall. I really enjoyed the meal and will definitely come back to try something new next time!

Very authentic Taiwanese food. Got the traditional braised beef noodle soup (I think, on the menu, it's called "Beef Chuck Noodle Soup"), and the popcorn fried chicken. Both were excellent and tasted the way my Mom made it. Service is fast and courteous. Food came out quick. Overall affordable and deeply satisfying.

The noodles and dimsums were great. Its a small place but a lot of sitting. There are big tables for groups. Great for kids. The waiter asks if spicy level is okay.

Absolutely delectable. I thoroughly enjoyed my takeout. I recommend everything I got pan fried pork dumplings, spicy chicken dumplings, pork filled chili oil wontons, spare rib, and red bean filled buns. I would definitely be reordering from Taiwan Noodle again! I look forward to trying more items on the menu. Apirl 2026 Update: I finally made it in person. The service was friendly, and fast. The atmosphere was welcoming and inviting. It was easy to talk. It is a small local restaurant that I highly recommend giving a try! All of the food was delectable. The bubble tea and thai tea was delicious.

This was awesome. The beef noodle soup had incredible noodles and the spicy shrimp wontons were super delicious (recommend dipping the noodles from the soup into the sauce of the wontons!) Portions were generous, too. Perfect order for a winter day. Highly recommend
